A review on 'The Necklace' - a good read

The Necklace is a story of 13 women in Ventura, USA, who got together to buy a diamond necklace and they each get to wear the diamond necklace for about four weeks a year.

What started out as a social experiment to test if 13 women can truly 'share' in a materialistic sense evolved into something much bigger as they used their 'influence' to raise money and creating awareness for charitable causes in their town, hence the necklace turned into a totally different 'symbol' for the people who knows about this joint-ownernership.

Lesson to be learned: We cannot take away materialism in today's world but we can redefine it in our own way, making a difference to the world while doing so.
